Stainless Steel Auger Flight Repair

A major Brisbane-based food manufacturer required repairs to a stainless-steel augur. The services of experienced Brisbane welding fabricators were required to make sensitive repairs to this critical machinery.

What were the challenges?

The auger had become blocked with product which caused the flight to be “folded over”.

How did Davis Welding and Fabrication solve these challenges?
• Davis Welding and Fabrication disassembled the auger’s chain drive components allowing us access to the damaged area.
• The damaged section of auger flight was removed and replaced.
• The auger was reassembled and test run.
• Work was completed outside the factory’s normal working hours.

• The auger was successfully repaired and ready for production on Monday morning.
